I don't mind stepping forward I can hold my hands up and say its me I don't mind and im not ashamed to say it either,

The whole lot on the page was a dig at myself and for what, Because I cant use proper grammar like others,

I'm 36 mate, A married chap with 3 kids the eldest being 16, I have better things in my life to be getting on with than reading posts like this blatantly about myself.

I aint going to change the way I write or spell for no one. Not now anyway and especially not because I got on someone's tits over a forum because I spelt something wrong or because my black country accent manages to work its way onto the screen

If the posts that was made wasn't aimed at me then pm me the post it had all originated from, But I think we both know who you were all talking about and to be quite honest I found it all quite childish and petty. But you guys carry on at the expense of others ;-)

What my brain thinks I have typed versus what my fingers actually have typed seems be different more often than not. When I read stuff back I wonder how I manage to write it in the first place. Even though I know the difference between who and how, now and know and right and write, it surprises me how often I get them the wrong way round.

As for spell checkers and auto-correct, our dictionaries at work are all set to american spelling, so its does my head in being told words are not correct when I know they are.

People in glass houses shouldn't really throw stones, looking at most of the replies to this, I can see grammar and spelling errors.

I appreciate that there people from all walks of life that come to join a forum, I find it a shame thou that others feel there should be only one sort, Let me explain just a little about myself. I am dyslexic i didn't finish school nor did I go into further education, I was on my ass and left home at 15 joined the army at 16 met my mrs at 17 we had our first child when we were both 18 and we are still happily married both aged 36, Now you see to me there's more to life than taking the piss out of someone over the forum ;-)

<SLAPS HEAD> would like to say that was deliberate but it just proves what I said, what you think your are typing and what comes out the other end doesn't always match.

Don't worry about it. We don't have spelling or grammar police on here, do we.

I think the only thing I detest in terms of grammar is when people say, for example, "Me and Dave went out", rather than the correct "Dave and I went out". I mean, if you went out on your own you wouldn't say "Me went out", you would say "I went out". But then you probably wouldn't use the more correct, but not polite "I and Dave went out".

Perhaps I'm being pedantic. If I am then I'm sorry.

I always seem to confuse people with my posts, they always get read differently to what I think I'm putting down , it's usually because I try to make them as short as possible as it takes ages writing it out on a phone.

And leeuk I wouldn't be worried I doubt it was aimed at you , they just made an observation.

It is another one of the many words in the English language which has been misheard somewhere along the line.

I personally get very annoyed when pacific words are spelt wrong.  ;D

There is a school of thought out there which states, if you communicate what you are trying to get across does it make a difference?

Language has been changing and evolving since the beginning of time. Technology is probably speeding this up though.

For example, "The fool doth think he is wise, but the wise man knows himself to be a fool". (William Shakespeare)

I'm not saying I agree or disagree with this.

The words I cannot abide however, are naink (meaning nothing) and saink (meaning something)

However You're being far too oblivious, you have to be a little more suttle.
