certainly did. See the post above (11th April). They are very comfortable and I think they look great.

Did they just fit straight in as you hoped without adding anything?

Not a hope in hell!

Had to make up brackets which you can see in my posts.

Still - they are in now, they slide and there is some room to get in the back so all is good.

Not done too much this weekend. Had to pick up a BiMi Cooper S (2010 plate) for the missus.

However, I did feed the plastic hose through the roof and A pillar for the washer bottle, test fitted the rear seats, lined the roof with SilentCoat, and put the roof liner rods in to the new lining. I'm going with a black liner. Over the next few days I shall rope my son or wife in to help me get the roof liner roughly in place. I've bought a load of clips and some double sided tape ready for it.

Once that's in I can get the rubber seals and glass in and then I will be really rocking.

O I forgot, the other day I fitted a new ignition barrel and steering lock plus new indicator and stalks. I think I may have a made a mistake because there is a little movement in the whole out steering column shaft so it turns slightly. I need to find out why because it's not right.

I started fitting the roof lining. That's fun - not!

I've no idea if it's going well but I shall keep at it.

Today I continued with the roof lining. I've gone for black so it makes it a bit hard to photograph.

It's not absolutely perfect. There's a section in the rear corner which you can just see in the photo that has a wrinkle in it. There's nothing I can do about it. I may have overstretched the liner when trying to fit it.

Still, it is what it is. So I also fitted the two rear quarter window rubbers, the driver side door rubber. It looks ok.

Cant seem to upload the photos - will try later

I bought some black vinyl and a thin red leather strip. I'd taken it to a nice lady in Dover with a sewing machine and I got them back today. I shall get glueing on to the old door cards and put up some pics.

Anyone else having this problem.

I used to be able to then had the same problem, I now use photobucket which works on here, www.photobucket.com, download your pics onto your account (yuo'll need to set one up) then 'share links' and copy from 'IMG'.  This will make sense once you're on there.  Hope this helps. John

Cheers John, I'll take a look at it.

So today I fitted the two rear quarter windows with help from the missus.

Tried to to the windscreen and it didn't go so well. I put the rubber around the window frame and then tried to rope the glass in to the rubber. It went in but it just wasn't right. The rubber was gaping open at the front so I took it out again. I think I am going to try putting it on the glass and then pulling the rope out from the inside to get it in place.

Anyone got any advice?

Rod if you use the IMG CODE on photobucket it will copy your picture direct onto here rather than using a link.

Like I stated earlier, copy and paste the IMG and Sonikk says.

As for the windscreen, i would put the rubber onto the glass, then put the string into the groove on the rubber making sure each end of the string overlaps at the bottom of the rubber and then push the rubber and bottom of the screen onto the lip.

have someone push on the glass as you pull the string out from inside and the rubber should go over no worries.

It will probably need a thump in places with your hand to get it to sit as you withdraw the string/rope

Thats what I'm going to do next time round. That whole putting the rubber on the window thing just doesn't work.

Today was a bit of a prep day.

I cleaned the inside of the car and sprayed the brackets that I did for the seats. I also trimmed a bit off them to make it easier to get  spanner in to do up the nuts to hold the seats in place.

I then sprayed the underside thickly with Dynax S50 and left it to dry.

I also sprayed Dynax S50 in to the inside of the cross member and while that was drying I routed the back half of the wiring loom in to the boot. I also ran a couple of gold wires for speakers in to the boot alongside the loom because I will be having two parcel shelf speakers. I put the parcel shelf in and marked it up ready to cut holes also.

I then covered the bottom of the rear window in the same material as the roof liner.

The divider for the brakes is already mounted on the rear subframe so I tried to connect the pipe that will be run under the car to the front but the thread will just not fit. I know I bought the right bits from the diagrams on the minispares website but it doesn't fit. I need to talk to them to find out why I am being an idiot - that is probably the reason.

I also screwed the handbrake in to place. I've rubbed it down and rubberised the handle. It looks cool and will be hard wearing.

Tomorrow I hope to get the windscreen (front and rear) fitted.

Cheers,

Rod

Hi

Super Al to the rescue! Thanks to NordicMini (Alan) for giving me help to get my front and rear windscreens in and get the chrome strip in.

Next, it's on to various pipes and cables.
