With Mini's for sale on eBay, it is hard to judge a value or base a value of your own car on one that sold.

For example, i would be willing to pay more money for a freshly restored car that has been done to a very high standard and i mean everything so it looks like it's just come off of the line compared to an original example of the same model that has low miles, always garaged etc because no matter how clean it is, there is always going to be something happening under the surface.

But i'm not saying it all works out that way. It's just how i would feel.

Ebay is a bit hit and miss, and for a proper idea of prices try searching completed listings, this shows you what has actually sold

Or not. As I've just recently won an item cheap (but about what its worth), paid for it only to then have the payment refunded/cancelled and the item relisted.

Didn't sell, wonder why?

Too many people jumping into the scene, thinking everything is worth a fortune.

Too many bits are seriously inflated where it will get to the point prices will decrease again.

I saw a pair of mini doors on Ebay not so long ago. The seller was looking for serious money for them and they came with free rust although he said they were in very good condition. No way as they both needed re skinning and probably repairs to the bottoms as well.

Now i charge £120 for a re skinned door but i will also guarantee they are 100% rust free. With pictures to prove, now some of these cars you see stating full resto?? ok where are the pictures to prove?? now if you do that you may get serious interest in what looks to be an expensive car.

I haven't been to shows in a while but remember about 10 years ago there was a company called megamini. Should have called it mega prices. Some of the mundane and standard stuff was sky high in prices,so you can imagine what he wanted for tuning and styling parts. I try to buy off forums if I need parts as I feel it's more realistic view of the market. I also don't sell much as I may need it and might not have the money later. Some stuff is a bit harder to price. I have a few John Cooper garages stickers and badges In various conditions and as I have not seen any for sale I don't know what their worth, but I don't think they are worth thousands.

There have been a few on there.

Ridiculous money for an old mini roof and a piece of glass.

Done, do you want a Chep Pallet or a rotten old clunker. Oh forgot to say its beige emulsion. Any other colour its another £500. Still proper bargain though.

I do like beige emulsion alot but would prefer a nice mustard colour if you can manage it. In fact i would be happy to pay an additional 500 to cover your expenses. Paint is not cheap these days after all.

If you have any broken pallets with bent nails sticking out, that would be ideal as it would match perfectly with all of my other new furniture i have just bought off eBay.

Only cost £11.450 for a whole set of 4 milk crates and some Hessian potato sacks filled with straw.

Bargain :-)
