Thanks Will, cant wait to get her finished, not driven her since August! Also doesn't seem like 2 years since I bought her from you. Youll have to come to one of the shows this summer to see her!

Also, just bought a Speedwell rev counter :)

Think Ive found the perfect place for the rev counter, fits like a glove! Vents have been blanked off so were just for show anyway.

Finally had my engine crane repaired too so the engine will be back in the subframe this weekend, with the assembly re-installed back under the car next week at some point. Progress!

Yeah it certainly fits nicely!

With it being such nice weather today, I got a bit done.

Where I started, after clearing all the rubbish from round the Mini:

Then I cleaned the engine bay from the accumulated dust of the last few months, ready for the engine to go back in, and installed a new steering rack:

Hopefully not long before the engine and subframe are back in, not looking forward to doing that!

Got the centre caps already dude, just need to make a centre for the Exacton wheels that accepts them :)

Just looked in my finished items on my ebay watch list and seen the price that a set of Speedwell inlets finished for yesterday, I think I need to get a safe to keep all my Speedwell bits in, what a ridiculous price! I paid £190 for my inlets, throttle pedal and ram stacks all together :D

Spent a bit more time on her today, the remote gear linkage housing is now painted to match the gearbox. I also test fitted the Motortune rocker cover, just need to get this polished:

Also decided the finish on the boss for the Speedwell steering wheel was too tired looking, so a lot of prep later, the top half now looks like this (yes it is hanging on the end of my bed to dry :D )

Yes, it does rather transform it! Cant wait to have it polished properly.

Im doing bits and pieces throughout the week in preparation to put the subframe and engine back under the body this weekend, the hubs and driveshafts are all installed and connected (those rubber cross joints are a pain!)

Notice the "MOWOG" marks on the ball joint dust covers - these wont perish in a few months, nothing like NOS.

Also Ive got to post a few pics of the steering wheel with its newly painted boss - this has come out far better than I ever expected it would, glass-like finish and its only Hycote aerosols! Mind you, there is a fair few hours prep in each half.

Thanks guys, also just seen that she's been chosen for the new forum banner!

More shiny, just finished building up the carbs; Vizard modified internals, polished dashpots and all new consumables (valves, gaskets etc) and of course, the Speedwell twin inlets. Used the old SU kit at work to centralize the jets and ensure that the pistons rise and fall at exactly the same rate - good stuff.
