BPR6 NGK will be fine, either use a Powersparks/Accuspark/Britpart they are all but one and the same, there is a step by step in the FAQs Electrical on how to fit it here http://www.theminifo...t-step-by-step/

You can either use you standard fitment Coil which on a 88 car would have been a 9v ballasted system, or convert to a 12v coil its all covered in the fitment post.

Fitting with the distributor in/out ? I removed mine which is dead easy but not knowing your mechanical knowledge to get the static timing after or you could put a small mark on the block/distributor body, to make it easy to refit. It can be done in place but a bit fiddly, either way your going to need a timing light once done to check/adjust the timing due to the different position of the heal on the old points and the trigger point of the new hall effect module.

Hi again guys,

I know this question has been asked pretty frequently on this forum in the past:

http://www.theminifo...ronic-ignition/

http://www.theminifo...ronic-ignition/

http://www.theminifo...ronic-ignition/

But I was wondering if things have changed since these posts, what would be the most recommended electronic ignition kit? And where can I find this kit as there are a number of widely ranged kits available on eBay.etc.

Also is it fairly easy to fit? Is the distributor easy to remove or is it better to leave it in?

Will I require a new ignition coil and spark plugs with the resistors in them? If so which coil and spark plugs are recommended? :) Is it the BPR6ES NGK type?

Sorry for the 20 questions

Thanks for your help

Kind Regards

Kap
