:D I keep doing it, then have to cut/grind/drill/solder something else in it and mess it up :thumbsup: I've been away for a few days with work, so not got anything done on it, but normal service will resume tomorrow night! I think mirrors is the only thing I actually NEED for an MOT...

Mirrors fitted. Awesome idea for the mounts from dad - some little aluminium beer bottles, chop the necks off, bit of trimming, hammering and painting and:

Also got the speedo sorted - JB welded the magnets to the pot joint, made a bracket for the sensor and wired it up. Took it on a quick run down the lane and it seems to be working >_< I don't think theres much it would fail an MOT on now!

just a thing about the magnetic sensor on the pot joint, mikes said hes felt a a little vibration from his, bringing it out of balance. i had mine in my rear drum and that worked hunky dory anyway...if its alright for you tis all good tho! >_<

i had an acewell i guess the magnet things the same/similar....the thread on it was conveniently the same as screw holes which hold on the drum to the flange...kept one hole for holding the drum (held in place by the wheel anyway) and other was mounted inside, i areldited it anyway just to be safe, areldited the sensor to park inside the drum hole in the back plate for wires to pass throught...never had a problem with it!
