So could I fit alloy 7.9 4 pot vented or solid calipers and discs under 10" force wheels?
That's fair enough with adding a servo for a nicer feel.

If I was to but weller steel wheels what width inner and outer rims would I need to buy from force to fit over the brakes and under the arch without extentions? Assuming the 7.9 alloy brakes fit under the rims

If you go over to turbominis then Carl (fastcarl), owner of Force Racing should hopefully be able to answer whether vented discs can fit without arches.
I wouldn't mind knowing this myself, I warped 3 sets of 8.4 solid discs in 2 years on my MPI and I'd like to run it archless when it's rebuilt.

Anything is possible if you are paying for it.

But as the the vented discs can push the mounting face further out this can cause issues, but if you are having wheels made then it is not an issue.
And then you can also have the drive flanges made to suit the discs which can also be made to fit a certain size/offset.

But you still have a limited rim width and tyre foot print and limited grip.

Then you put massive brakes on it that require less pressure go give the Retardation you want which will mean you will have next to nothing at the rear.

A major braking imbalance can be an issue at the MOT. So think on to your MCs yes you might need a proper set up with different piston sizes and adjuster. And you will still lock your brakes up.

Found KADs 7.9" 4 pots fit under Force's 10" wheels. Found on another forum somewhere. Does anyone know if the 6 pots poke out further or are just longer? It also said that there was space withing the wheel to fit upto 8.2" discs so that might allow additional space to fit the bigger caliper.

Does anyone know the distance from the mounting face on the 4.5" cooper S to the spot welds holding the centre of the wheel to the outer rim?

I doubt this is anything new but I fitted Metro vented discs under 12" steels. I used the Mini drive flange and had to fit spacers between the calliper and hub as there is a difference with the drive flange somewhere.

I remember people talking about Fiesta callipers but not sure what ones. I think being single piston sliding ones they fitted with 10" wheels don't know about the discs though sorry.

Did anyone remeber which Fiesta calipers can be used under 10" wheels ?

Do the KAD 4 pot calipers have dust seals for the road?

Yep the KAD four pots have dust seals and IMO the best four pot kit on the market.

You need mk2 fiesta solid disk calipers

How much further do vented 7.9" discs poke out than 7.5" non vented?

Do rose petal wheels still fit archless when using discs?

Does anyone know the offset or ET of the 5 x 10 Weller Steel Wheel sold by http://polleymotorsp...Products.aspx#?

I'm having some issues with the website but wondered if these would fit 7.9" brakes, if not then alloy 7.5" calipers.

And whether both or either of these brake options would still allow the wheels to be fitted without arch extentions?

But then you have a very poor tyre shape. 165 need to be on a 6" rim really.

Not at all.... They work very well with 5" and I imagine pretty well on 4.5" also.   Not 3.5 though.

Could never ever get on with 165 on less than 6" rims. Like jelly.
