Ah, now you asking a question. As far as I know it`s just whatever they put on a 1275GT back in 74. I`m afraid my knowledge of that kinda thing is somewhat limited. What you got in mind mate?

It`s funny what occurs to one as one lies in bed at night - no, I`m not even going there! lol. No, what occurred to me after yesterdays disappointing squirt up the road was "fuel pressure limiter". I remembered that I screwed it right down to minimum and that may well account for the erratic behaviour. Unfortunately work beckons me today but as soon as I get some more time off I`ll let you all know.

That's it, leave us in suspense. Crank up that fuel pressure, you know you want to!

Having done all I could with me new front brakes today I put the "Ramair" sock filters on the carbs today, opened up the fuel pressure limiter a bit and cranked Clubby up. He started nicely, didn`t need much choke and after a moments hesitation revved very freely. I had to stop him at that point because his arse end was still in his shelter and I was getting gassed out!

Er, with the front in the air, one wheel binding on the disc and the other front wheel off.................no, I didn`t take it out, lol. Once I get me new discs and wheels sorted out a spin round the block will be very much on the cards. Watch this space.........................

Well here we are peeps, one pathetic little video of Clubby starting (just) with his 7 port head, twin Webers and god-awful noisy roller rockers. He needs no choke at the moment because the settings are so rich he`s choking all the time! Roll on the rolling road session. Ha ha, roll on.............

Ello again, this time I got a much better, if shorter, vid for you to watch. Determined to improve Clubby`s start-up and idle I did some research and found some very useful information. The upshot was not perfect of course but by gum things are better as the following shows.
Enjoy

Sounding a lot better now!

Indeed! Plus it starts straight away which is a bonus. It turned out that all my idle mixture screws were turned right out so no wonder the poor little thing was choking. Now he just needs setting up properly on a rolling road though gawd knows when i`ll be able to get that done.

Made an interesting discovery today; determined to get to the bottom of Clubby`s clatter (sounds like a pop group) I started him up and moved him out of his tent and adjusted the idle speed. Happy that was OK I undid the T bolts on the rocker cover, grasped said cover to remove it and there was the answer - the rockers were fouling the cover itself! As soon as I removed it there were all me little rockers rocking away happily with hardly a murmur. Now I gotta wait for me new cover to arrive at Mini-Spares, hey ho.

Nice to get a simple fix..cheerish the moment.
Are they roller rockers, do you think it's an issue promoted by the new head?
