I think I probably will because apart from wanting to keep the crap out of me engine the intake roar almost matches the 3 inch exhaust roar!! lol

Addenda - just this minute ordered some "sock" types from oilbay.

Thanks Coopdog - to be honest the main reason for this excercise is the "WOW" factor when I show what`s under the bonnet. Do you think I`ll get it? lol

If you could see the inside of my boot you`d think differently about twin tanks. The previous owner has cut the floor right out, inserted a carbon fibre one (useless, no spare wheel well) and where the battery would normally be in its box in the floor sits one of humungus size ON the floor. When I bought Clubby he had an amplifier where his back seat should be and a whopping great (and bloody heavy) speaker neatly recessed into the back bulkhead. I`ve taken all the musicy crap out but I`m lumbered with a flat boot floor. Yes I`ve looked underneath, the old floor has deffo gone. Aparently Clubby was rebuilt from a pile of rust in which case he`s made a damn good recovery. :-)

Yes well..bit of a mixed day today. I went and bought some more coolant and then topped up Clubby`s rad (easy). Then I started the engine (easy). Let it warm for a bit then went for a quick (ha ha) trip up the road (not so easy). The engine runs as rough as old Harry, keeps dying away to nothing and then revs its head off. I cured the latter but obviously he`s got to have a rolling road session before any serious motoring can be considered. The other thing is that there is a worrying knock coming from up top that wasn`t there before I started this. I`m wondering if the roller rockers were such a good idea after all. Ah well, on to his new brakes and wheels next.
