Stuff on the floor pan sounds like replacement sound deadening potentially fitted after repairs. Photos will help us to identifying it for you :)

some1158 - yes that's the same info as my VIN plate and thanks for the translation.

I notice that Halfords do both metallic and pearlescent versions of BRG. Is the metallic the best match do you think?

Definitely the metallic not pearlescent (unless for some reason the car has already been resprayed with the latter)

Not to be smug or anything but -

The mini passed its MOT today!

Big toothless grin.

(Must get the grille sorted!)

Update and paint question-
After a 3 1/2 year interval during which time the mini has been sadly languishing in my back garden , the virus shutdown has given me some time to spend on the car.
I'm currently replacing the front discs, calipers and hoses. Parts are slow to arrive so have been filling in with some cosmetic jobs.

Anyone know a good place to obtain some aerosol paint for this car?
The code is RWV as stamped under the bonnet.

I'll need some green and also white. ( For the original wheel spats)
The reason I need some paint is that I rather inexpertly removed that boot sticker which was seemingly chemically bonded to the paint underneath. https://i.imgur.com/1IatMew.jpg
Thanks.

I'm using Imgur to add images but I'm disappointed that I'm only seeing links in my post above Anyone know how to get images appearing directly?
Looks like I asked the same paint question 3 years ago so apologies to all.
I'd still like to know where to order paint from (mail order) though - if anyone has a recommendation?.??

I use the BBCode (message boards and forums) in Imgur.

Once you click on the picture, click on the "copy" button near it and paste it here. I do like this and it works well

Cheers

Gilles

Thanks Gilles. You are right but it Turns out the BBC code is not available via the mobile app. Only desktop.
Still trying to workaround ....

Been a while but things are moving again in my mini. Brakes have had a thorough overhaul. Stage 1 kit is in progress. Carb overhauled with new jet and needle.
Had the wheels refinished.
Should be ready for mot in a couple of weeks.
