If people are stupid enough to spend 40k on a mini there will always be a market for these. It really does stink

Stupid!!!!!

Some people in this world are mega rich and £50000 is not a lot for some to pay for a mini cooper s, This doesnt make them stupid!!!!

Why carnt a mini be worth so much. This iconic car changed the car industry forever and has and still in achieving so much!!!

If a E type is worth £250000 why carnt a mini be worth £50000 plus...

I don't think it matters what someone pays as long as they are getting what they think they are, a stolen 850 with a set of old reverse rims and the roof painted white is a bit of a swizz for £20k

How can people be sure they are spending 40 grand on the genuine article when they have log books on sale on ebay? There's a certain mini spares shop 10 miles from me that has had a few listed recently. Now you would feel 'stupid' if you got caught out

Even as a mini fan I'd need some expert help if I wanted to buy a correct early mini.

Honestly now how many mk1 1 cooper s cars are genuine and in there original shells.

not many I can assure you all of that here and now.

Unless you know the owner who drove it out the showroom and kept it ever since!!! like mine :D

And yes some minis are worth £40000 as they are selling for that which in itself proves they are worth £40000.

It was only around five years ago we were laughing at the idiots that paid £15k for mk1 lotus cortinas, stupid idiots with their £50k cortinas locked away safely, what a bunch of idiots.

Oh I remember the days of being able to buy a half decent mini for just a couple of hundred quid. My sister bought an 84 city, for £500. A couple of months down the line she started having gearbox problems and sold for £50 spares and repairs. The bloke who bought it fixed the gearbox and then sold it for £500. I could have murdered my sister when she told me she'd sold it.

He still says he ripped the fella off because it was only worth a tenner. He's a bit sick about it now
