Hi All
I have an ongoing projekt of a 1974 mini 850 where i have some trouble getting the light to Work. The rear light function also when breaking but there is no light when the engine/iginition is on. I have the same problem with the front light, i only have the highbeam when i holding in and no regular lighting.
Are there any who knows what is up and can help a rookie?
Sincerely
Christian

Check the fuses. If they look OK, remove them and twist the ends, if the ends can rotate independently of the glass then replace the fuse... If it blows the new fuse, check all the wiring connectors, if still not working, then stop and disconnect all 4 corners from the loom. Replace the fuse... Then fit each corner in turn until it pops the fuse. Check and repair that corner.

Click the link below to see which fuse and circuits you need to check.

If you are struggling now

Change the switch, if that doesn't work try connecting a known working stalk into the connection at the steering column and work the stalk to see if anything changes.

Hope this helps.

Also I strongly suggest buying a power probe, I don't know how I managed before buying this!

this is the one I have... There is a hard plastic storage box available separately for these but I don't know where to buy them.

Thank you - all of the fuses can actually rotatate independently of the glass, so i thinik i will start there.

Thank you for the fuse circuit - that is an amazing diagram!

Sincerely

Christian

Yes but if you remove the fuse and try to twist the ends against each other do they rotate? They shouldn't
