Hi guys, I have 2 diffs here and I was hoping to swap the crown wheel over onto the carrier in better condition.

 

The crown wheel (Pre A+) will go onto an A+ diff carrier. Are these 2 different types compatible?

 

Should I just be able to unbolt the crown wheel from one and use it on the other or will i have to use the planetary gears from the same set as the crown wheel? The pinion will be from the Pre A+ gearset as that is the gearbox it is going into.

It'll swap over fine.

 

You'll need to remove the bearing first, at which point you might need a new one....

Great thanks I'll get on that tomorrow and order a couple of new bearings!

I think as long as you keep the crown wheel & pinion as a pair you'll be fine

yeah they are from the same gearbox, so should be all good there. Cheers!
