So, it's about roughly one outing a week?  It's understandable but also a small bummer in my opinion...  ;D

The german historic registration and licence plate brings a fixed tax, that save me - because the injection cars already have catalytic converters - only exactly 4 € a year (but have cost me about 400 €  >_< to get it).

I could get "cheaper" classic car insurance that would save me up the 60% (but that's also only 30 € or half a tank of fuel per month) but would limit me to only "special occasionally" drives and 1/3 of the mileage.

2/3 reduction in mileage for only 60% of, I think the Math ain't Mathing for me. Therefore I stick to a normal insurance that allows me up to 16.000 km a Year...  :D

Thank You for helping me finally understand the T7 heater. It was just out of long lasting curiosity as mine stock (big metal) one works really rather well...

Strange how the world works, as I'm not so into football but from the hometown of St. Pauli: Hamburg, I was indeed aware of Jackson Irvine but not about all the fine details or connection to Down Under...  :gimme:
And the unicorn is from Moog and Marty?

But's this thread is about Your Mini, so back to it...

Looking forward to read more about You exiting adventures with Your lovely van!

Well, sort of! To have Historic rego the car needs to be part of a registered historic car club (of which there are plenty).
The club you are aligned with can have events that they nominate which don't count towards your 60 quota. For example, your car club has a big yearly spring car show, they can nominate that event and it doesn't 'use' one of the 60 occassions.

The german historic registration and licence plate brings a fixed tax, that save me - because the injection cars already have catalytic converters - only exactly 4 € a year (but have cost me about 400 € >_< to get it).

So, it is cheaper if your car has a catalytic converter?

Oh, if yours works well then keep it!
My van never came with a heater, so i was free to go with alternatives

The world is getting smaller and smaller!

I do love mighty Car mods, and they're local to me, but the unicorn is there because its quirky and my neices love unicorns!

:ohno: Why easy when complicated is an option...  ;D

Technically the german car (road) tax is determined by the displacement and the emission standard class. But to meet the requirement for the lowest and oldest Euro 1 (which SPis have) you at least needs to have a catalytic converter. So, yes.  :proud:

From 330 € per Year down to 195 €... But tax and insurance are not so much a concern for me as there only make - a quick and rough calculation later - about 10% of my yearly Mini budget...  >_<

but the unicorn is there because its quirky and my neices love unicorns!

That are the best reasons!   :gimme:
