The radiator has to be lower than the header tank. Do some sums, you could end up spending as much on fancy cooling as you would on Megajolt and other bits to make way for a radiator, without any of the additional benefits.

There was a green minus on ebay about 18 months ago, it was supercharged and it's radiator was inside the boot. I don't remember any fans in the pictures and I don't know if the boot floor was holed, but that might be worth thinking about perhaps.

But, if you do want to go for a pair of heater matrices, the ones I linked to you on ebay may do it chief.

from looking at the space you have i would say i little bit of messing about you could get a front mount in.
how much shorter in height is the front panel?
if your nippon denso alternator is the same as this go for it, they fit without much problem, and if you run a shorter belt than usaul you can keep it really close to the engine giving more room up front.

this is the one that most of the guys on TM run.
i had a mk1 metro rad for mine, but this might be a bit long for you, i think with a bit of work you would be able to get an mpi one to slide in up to the dizzy, ditch the dizzy you would be ok.

For the time being I'm going to focus on get the wheels back on and a couple of other big jobs. I'll look into the cooling issue again towards the end of the month when I'll have a bit more money to look into it properly.
So that was the aim for this long weekend, get the front wheels back on, wire up the engine loom, tidy up the interior, and then get on to sorting out the doors if I had time.
Started off by getting the hub/driveshaft assemblies out and cleaning them up a touch. Went to bolt in the balljoints to the arms and realised the thread didn't come through enough to be able to get the nut on. Then realised I had the top alloy bits on the wrong side!

However, when I came to bolt in the passenger side assembley, due to the camber I could get the bottom balljoint pin into the hole. Therefore I had to take the top alloy bit off this side, and try and loosen off the top arm pin so I could knock off the camber. A little heat and it was loose. Unfortunately this must have weakend the alloy bit, as when I came to torque up the top balljoint nut, the taper must have caused the alloy bit to split into three.

Luckily it rained whilst I was sorting out the passenger side assembly, which gave me opportunity to sit inside and work out where all the water was coming from. I realised its running off the roof, and round the top of the door frame. Because the top of the door doesn't sit tight up against the door seal the water just drips in. So now at least I know what the problem is I can get on and sort it!
