doesnt look like they do them anymore!!!! i saw a vinyl set at castle combe but it wasnt a full set!
is lily doing l2b this year? i should be, wantin to get james looking spick and span for then! will look forward to seeing lily in the flesh (metal?) lol
how much did you spend on the bodywork they did on her? because its a very nice job they've done!
i will say it again that the door cards and parcel shelf that you had made are amazing! (cost???)

I dont know if Somerford do them, I think its just a PDF showing all the decals of the different Minis. I thought they sold them until I read the writing, which says only some are still available!

Thats probably the same sets thats on ebay that you saw, if it just the writing?

Im hoping to be at L2B, if I ever get my application in!!

We've finally got to the end of Lilys 500 run-in miles, so all I need to do now is change the oil and filter then shes all done! Shes gone pretty well, but had a couple of little hiccups. First of, the throttle cable was getting stuck on, so she kept idling at 2000rpm Think thats sorted now though, took the little plate off that holds the choke cable in and put it on the throttle!

Also yesterday, Lily decided that after she'd behaved all day that she should probably break something, so off went her indicators! The fellas bodged it though, so there just a solid light, so I need to go get a new relay!

Also need to sort out the rev counter, it keeps bouncing really badly

Theres a few other little niggly things I need to sort as well!!

i do hope you get into london to brighton!! i had my email conformation the other day but would be brilliant for the two advantages to meet up! james and lilly! hehe!
i get that with the rev counter going everywhere! have no idea y?? love the pics you took in the snow weve had! very tasty! iv just bought some grp2 arches as well! keeping the standard wheels though so not sure it they will look good on james yet! lol lovely to know thers another advantage still going strong! im on 95000miles!!!

The only thing with putting group 2s on the standard wheels, is that the wheels are a lot thinner, so the arches will stick out a lot

My indicators are now fixed! Yay!

was going to keep the standard wheels but iv just had some cheep minilights come up so they should be abit wider/fill the arches better! need to make them look nice like yours tho! they look so nice in white but black could be interesting!??? lol

No, ive not heard back from them yet, got my fingers and toes crossed that im in!

Yeah, black would look good, I thought about it when I got mine, but wanted them white to match the originals! Or antracite, there always good!!

yeah thats the only thing i was thinkinng putting them in white so they matchh the originals! but then i did see a white mini with black alloys the othe rday and it looked wicked!

I took Lily down to my mates garage today to see if they could tell whats wrong with her, after fiddling with her for a couple of minutes, I got:

The Bad News:

Its the carb! Its really worn and could do with replacing.

but then:

The Good News:

My mate has a brand new carb that will fit (I think its a HIF38) and he said I can have it for £30!!

So on Friday im taking Lily back there and theyre going to fit the new carb, set her up nicely and then give her an oil change!

So fingers crossed she will be running poifect again

Reeties, little update

Ive now had the HIF38 fitted and it seems to be going ok!

When we took the old carb out, we could see straight away what the problem was, the jet was really bent!

She was running a little rough and struggling to start from cold. She also had a really bad flatspot between 2500rpm and 3000rpm. I took her back to my mate today and hes sorted it out, so nows shes running nice again Still planning on taking her to Aldon in a month or so.

She was also overheating as soon as I stopped for a minute and after debating if the fan was in the right way, I checked the water Had to put quite a lot of water in, feel free to slap my wrist I cant believe I hadnt checked it sooner

The question is now though, where is the water going? Were not sure if the head gaskets sealed ok, there seems to be little bubbles coming out of the front.

Few little things that need doing:

I need to get her a new caliper of get hers refurbed. I pretty sure the pistons sticking and making the pad grind on the disk, its not a nice noise!

The cd player needs fixing, but im not too sure whats wrong with that, might have to put a new wire in. I somehow managed to pull something out when I pulled out the old carpet.

Need to stop the exhaust blowing at the Y piece.

Apart from those, she seems to be behaving herself at the minute, although im going out in her in a bit, so theres bound to be something else that will go wrong!
