read back a couple of pages still no dent

And one side of my decals are original and the other side are some old rover stock that were on fleabay

heya saz how are ya? sorry didnt see you at L2B i was there but James didnt make it! he thew his toys out the pram and blew his head gasket! so we left him at the services and went with a friend in her purple cooper sport5! wish he had got us there though! had the head skimmed and it needed 8-10 thou taking off to get it flat so loads normal skim is bout 3thou!! came over to your group of people to say hi but i wasnt sure which one you were! lol so bottled it an jus hada good look at lily! lol how was ur weekend?
just wondering what sort of performance gain you got with the hif 38 instead of the hs4? thinking of upgrading!

Hi Matt, I was looking out for another Advantage there, but couldnt see any Saw a picture of another one that someone had spotted though!! That sucks about James not making it there, bet you were gutted Maybe its something about Advantages needing to be skimmed?!

I didnt really notice any difference with the new carb, I needed to replace my old one and my mate had a brand new HIF38 he said I could have for £30!! So that was the reason I changed!

aw it was so so gutting! was so anoyed when we broke down! i came over when there was a group of people round lily but couldnt remember what you looked like! lol i thought i saw another with a white/cream union jack on the roof but that might've been a designer! lol loving the roof rack iv had one on james for a while now and likee the look it gives to the car! lol cool im getting a hif for 25 so not too bad but 30 for a new one is wel good! im planning to modify it using the vizard book and have the car RR set up to see how much difference it makes, should be a bit more tourque i hope

The next problem is here already! Sooner than I hoped

Lily seemed to be leaking more oil than usual, had a look at her sump and it had quite a bit of oil on it. I cleaned it all off and went out in her. Just got back in and the sumps covered again

Ive got someone coming to have a look at her later though, so hopefully its nothing too bad. Hes told me to check the tappet covers on the back of the engine to make sure there all sealed, so im just waiting for her to cool down before I do

You could also check the gear selector seal as mine is leaking quite badly from there

Hehe, I hope its a smaller problem! Probably knowing my luck it'll be something mahoosive

I tightened up the tappet cover, but its still doing it. My mate couldnt come have a look today, so Im taking her round in the morning. I think it might just be washer or gasket needs replacing, but we'll have to whip it off and have a look.

Reeties, were pretty sure that thats where the oil is coming out from So yesterday the fella took it off and resealed it. I dont think its still leaking but its hard to tell as there was oil everywhere before!!

My exhaust has also popped off again slightly, so she once again sounds like a tractor! And we also found that the noise we thought was the caliper, could actually be the exhaust touching the driveshaft. So hopefully I should be getting her up on my mates ramp on Saturday and getting her exhaust on properly. I swear it doesnt ever stay on, always starts blowing at the y-piece..

I've had the same problems with Reggie's exhaust. Have you tried taking it all apart and resealing it one joint at a time?

Are the mounting points and rubber bushes OK?
