yeap - that was literllay one of if not the first silver cooper sports le... those 4 cars were finished off prodction line in the first week of Jan 2000... hence the V plate. The owner has a theory that it was originally a white roof and stripes then was repainted for marketing + press. None of those cars' specs were 1999 release - the seven and knightsbridge especially.

While owning a car of such rarity I'm really glad to see you haven't wrapped it up in cotton wool and hidden it away. Is it you're daily drive or a weekend play thing?

Yeah he is/was my daily drive :w00t: Did 17'000 miles last year going to pretty much every show going, with a 250mile weekly work run included (50 a day).

End of this year will see much less of that tho - shud be moving much closer to work so he'll become much more of a weekender :D

Right few things on tomorrow, should be splitting down the zorst, possibly starting on the subframes but more than likely taking a count of what is needed. Will keep you posted :dontgetit:

Nice one! It's kinda satisfying when you get the whole front subby and engine dropped out like that. Makes it nice and easy to work on everything :dontgetit:

Not good. Will be doing as much as I can tomorrow and Sunday but have been seriously let down by a rather inept and capricious member - to give them an ounce of respect I'll leave the name.

To summarise my wanted thread, I'm looking for someone to help rebuild and diagnose and engine for me - cost of parts petrol, cleaning etc etc will be covered.

Will be stripping down the front subby and rear of the exhaust tomorrow with a doubt, then its up at 6am to see my engine return...yeap... 6am.

With the help of a friend, rear subframes finally off :shifty: Going to try and strip that down, and continue a tally on the parts.

Big big thank you to Oli who is doing a sterling job on my engine.... and at such insane speed! Hope I finish the front subframe quickly enough to give the engine a warm welcome home!
