:P OMG PROGRESS!! :D

With the help of my ratchet monkey, the rear subframes split down ready for a strip search and a few layers of decent black stuff.

Starters orders (at this point, 1 doughnut had already escaped... the other wasnt so forgiving):

Plant pots - yes, this was the view we found on both sides - we had enough soil to start a small compost business:

After a good blast down, a rather better looking subby:

The worst of the rust is beneath the doughnuts on boths sides:

Going to kick the front one in the can tomorrow :w00t:

Look forward to some news :shifty:.

Noooooo!

Take a sit back, leave it in storage and wait until you feel better. There's no point selling such a rare Mini when the market is down like it is right now. You'll get a few months down the line, feel better and wish you'd not got rid and you'll be goosed then because this is no ordinary car, you can't just get another.

I haven't heard from Oli for a while, but I think he's still plodding on.

Good to hear, it'd be heartbreak to see him let go of such a rare mini.

Good morning....

I guess I owe people some explanations as to my where abouts - all that in due time.

Bottom line is this. The engine sits still in the garage, the subbys are repainted and have gathered dust for a year, the carpet's in the loft getting eaten and my memory is dull and short lived. However...

He's got to go back on the road.

I'll update you guys with pictures of the current situation and I'll be in touch with various people over the next 2 days to talk about some rebuilding strategies and more importantly the handing over of £-wonga-stirling.

This message is short and sweet and I know there are quite a few quesitons, but SirD must drive again, and I need a lot of help! :D

Nev.

Bootnote - I'm hoping people haven't changed their mobile phone numbers in the last 2 years!
