Arrived in a box that could've doubled as a canoe:

"Geniune" Bumpers:

Bushes and badges:

New shocks, the front ones are being made at the moment (eta 2-3 weeks!):

Not particularly satisfied with the grille sides, they feel like they're made out of plastic :\ Gonna compare with the current ones tonight, and see what can be done.

Hi all, there's been more life stuff since my last update but I've managed to reach a milestone this weekend with the help of a very good friend (who's knowledge was priceless).
Without further ado, I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. Woke up at a brain destroying 8am on Saturday:

The goal - get that lot under the blanket, onto the car:

Took us about 6 hours or so, but eventually SirD was looking a little more familiar:

Needs a damn good clean on the body but the subframe's looking good:

Engine's sitting on the base mounts for now:

Also got some solid mounts for the towers:

...and the front panel:

Sadly no front wheels on becuse of reattaching the inner pots to the gaters

Stay tuned

8am on a Saturday is not that early best time of the day peace and quite you can get a lot done, and it only took 4hrs to put the front and rear subframes in.
You should have cleared the garage before so it was easier to work on.
Now that its on four wheels, get it down to the body shop asap
Then you can get it back together with a little/lot of help!!

The story goes that SirD's been up at a local spray shop for the last 2 months and required a few more pannels than expected - 1 new passenger wing and another bonnet as my replacement one was warped badly

As far as parts go, the old alternator's seized up, the walnut dash looks rather worse for wear, and both the brake servo and gear selector need a good clean up and sort out. Also looking into getting a set of the rubber under-wing protectors the Somerford Spares used to sell. Havent seen any since L2Brighton '07 so I may be pushing my luck.
Time to burn the midnight Waxoyl.
Will update you all soon,
Nevpayne.

Surely you should be saving that magic juice for SirD when he comes back! Don't want the evil tin worm rearing his ugly head again.Monday 19th July. Still nothing... morale is running dry. Eaten the last of the waxoyl.
Really good to see this back, it's been a long time sincs I've seen this thread near the top and I've always wondered what happened to it.
Are these the wing protectors you're talking about:
