Okay, so basically today started out with pulling through the heater hoses & finishing that job off, so then I needed something else to do.. I started stripping it out, completely! I'll let the pictures do the talking again..

Sorry about the amount of pictures.. :shifty:

Nope, nothing like that is gonna happen until I can move into the garage.. first thing that will probably be done is cutting the wings off the front so I know what everything is like behind them & then focusing on the boot.. I'm thinking de-bumpered.. picture it sitting nice & low on 10" wheels, yoko A032 tyres, rear roll cage with diagonal, MK1 boot & light.. yeah? :shifty:

Yeah that's gonna be the task.. I won't have the money at the start to have 10 inch wheels & a roll cage, for a while it's gonna look odd.. but one day I'll get it looking spot on :)

Next task will be removing all the sound-deadening on the rear floor.. I'll be replacing it with lighter & more effective Dynamat. Any tricks with this? I don't want to scratch the floor underneath with a screwdriver whilst I'm hacking away at it.

Why not just put dynamat down over it?

I think the only way to remove it is hack away with a screwdriver bud. It's the only way i've heard of getting it off but someone on here might have a trick up their sleeve to getting rid.

Yeah that sounds about right, I'll give everything a good coat of black hammerite anyway after certain panels have been replaced so it doesn't really matter that much!

Been thinking tonight about moving the wiring from the engine bay onto the inside.. buying a load of convoluted tubing & hiding the wires in that.. certainly much easier to do now the heater has gone.. just a birds nest of an alarm system I need to deal with!

Yeah that's true! haha, It'd just be for my own peace of mind.. knowing it's all nice and clean! I'd also be dynamatting.

I'll have a good look at what needs moving with the wiring & how I can do it all when I'm next out in the daylight.

Still no luck with a mini of your own then pal?

I've seen a couple i want to look at to be honest bud. One in newcastle which isnt too far away but there is one in sheffield which is good but it's far away. Still, might be worth the trip lol.
