Happy Birthday Mate!

I'm hoping good presents don't end till your 21 lol

Love the metal look on the gearbox and clutch housing, gonna see how well mine shine up when i get round to cleaning the engine before i decided to paint or not.

Placing another order on Minispares 'cause I forgot to add a few bits to my basket & with some extra money for my birthday I can afford a bit more this month.

Updates soon I hope, going to Sheffield this weekend to stay with some mates at Uni and properly celebrate my 19th =] safe.

Apologies for a lack of updates for a few days, spent the weekend in Sheffield with some mates at Uni, which was quality.

At college now but I will get into the garage tonight ;)

Oh and for anyone whose interested or sponsored, my Dad left for the Band of Brother bike ride on Sunday, heard from him last night and he's doing really well, sounds like he's really enjoying it!

My email, ebay & other forum names are all analogue_radio are so it made sense :-

Did some work on the mini last night but I didn't get far.. ended up loosing my patience, added some bits on, ku-rusted the timing chain cover & painted it.. really wasn't happy with the finish because I feel it's ruined the overall look :-

What's up with the finish on the cover like? You could sand it back and re-paint it?

Well it's been painted whilst on the engine, because I didn't want to disturb the timing chain & create more jobs for myself, would I be if I removed the cover?

I've already undone the nuts around the casing but couldn't stop the wheel that holds the *mind has gone blank, the thing that holds the rubber 'band' in place to power the radiator fan* from spinning whilst I undid the nut.

You got any pics of it?

Nah i don't think you'd be causing any problems for yourself. Might get a nice leak of oil though so best to have a bowl handy lol.

It looks a bit nicer since the paint dried, but I'm still not happy.

How do I stop the wheel from turning though whilst I do the nut? tried a crowbar but there is nothing on the wheel to lock it into.

Yeh, just wedge a crow bar against it and into the corner of the wall and garage floor. Then give it a turn.
