Yeah but once the screen has heated up and done it's job I can just flick it off, heater would be on constantly trying to battle against the condensation & frost.. I don't have any other electrics apart from a small sound system, so I think it'd cope okay.

I do Graphic Design, had to create my own brief, I created my own 'culture' sort of a name/forum/group called Show & Tell..

Personally I'd keep the heater. If you can get hold of one, get the plastic bodied type from a late carb/spi. Its the same casing as the Mpi, just without the twin speed and outrageous price tag. Its got the bigger bore vents (make sure you get them with it) and does a much better job of demisting. Also, if its cold enough to fog up, it will be cold in the car as well and a heated screen ain't gonna warm you up >_<

Yes thats why I have kept mine, I have no heater valve so it will run in a long circuit so better cooling, and I will only ever use the heater to blow out hot air anyway, so no need for the valve really  . I bet you will miss it when its gone :D .

But it would still be useful if he gets stuck in traffic, as even an unmodified engine can get hot often in traffic. And 'wacking' the heating on hot, will act as extra cooling and get the temperature down :D .

I'll still be going with my original plan of a heated front windscreen & no heater.. but if things get tricky then I can just put the heater back in, such a simple job so it's no biggy. Plus if I meet my deadline it'll be the start of Summer! :) so I won't need the heater.

Thanks for your input though :D

Still no updates, more overtime though :D when I get back from Sweden I'll make some good updates :D

Whilst you are there crack on with the millions of other jobs I've gotta do :)

Might actually order a flywheel puller & a cone compressor with the money I've got left so I can crack on as soon as I get back.

Summer!? Thats what I was saying, you will need some extra cooling when driving about, especially in Melton with all the traffic, also what are you going to do when the weather get colder, where are you going to heat the car from :) . Just seems pointless getting rid of pretty good piece of kit, but up to you  .

I'm welding over my fresh air vents anyway Dan! It'll be fiinnnne! if I need some extra cooling I'll install a sexy electric fan instead which I can switch on/off when needed :) & about the cold weather, layer up! did naff all before and I was driving around in a beanie, north face coat & gloves. I could still see my breath in the air after a 15-20 minute drive :(

Since when do us mini drivers care about creature comforts? :) they are loud, bumpy & uncomfortable anyway :)
