+ Replace the clutch, possibly replace the flywheel with a lightened one from MED.
+ Strip down the front subframe.
+ Get the front & rear subbys sandblasted along with an assortment of bits, brackets & covers etc..
+ Look into powdercoating costs.
+ Piece the engine back together and tick that off the list.
+ Then start rebuilding the subframes, front and back.
^ + Including; new shocks, reconditioned radius arms, new hoses all round, rebuild rear drums, minifins, neg camber on the front etc etc..
+ Possibly buy a set of twin carbs off a mate and rebuild them.
So plenty to keep me busy up until University

Ive got a wish list for MED but that is to be hit at the very end of the build, its a long list of goodies to keep my engine entertained whilst I build a new one when the mini is on the road

Mm well the lightened flywheel would improve acceleration & would idle more erratically (am I right?) so it'd give it a more racier & an on the edge of your seat feel, perfect

It would improve pick up and accaleration though.
Not sure if an ultralight flywheel is a bit overkill for a standard 998?

No, a lightened flywheel wouldn't give an erratic idle, thats a lumpy cam

Not sure if an ultralight flywheel is a bit overkill for a standard 998?Surely it would benefit more from a free flowing exhaust and inlet manifold?
I agree, if your going iltralight flywheel, get a cam kit, big head, exhaust system, big carb, the works, or it will be epic fail

I agree, If your splittng the engine and gearbox, you might as well stick a cam in it at least, its going to save doing it in the future, when you want more power.
