As its wasted spark as long as 2 and 3 are on the same coil and 1 and 4 are on the other coil it should run fine.

Put the leads on in them pairs and try it, if it doesn't fire then switch the pairs over on the coil.

If the coil you have looks like this

Posted Image

The the plug numbers can be seen on by the side of the mounting posts on the flat triangulation bit. The connector then is pin 1 coil 1, pin 2 coil 2, pin 3 and 4 common 12v live

Coil 1 is plugs 1/4 and coil 2 plugs 2/3.

sequential firing order does not matter on wated spark ignition :)

To get pyrotechnics like that, either cam timing is way off, or you are firing the spark at the wrong time. This can happen if you have the plug/ coil set up wrong, or if the coils themselves have been crossed over. Can also happen if tthings have changed on the crank trigger set up, or the ECU itself is just not calibrated right.

so, here we go again.................

the head has been re-worked by MRA minis and its ready to strap together again, dry deck kit might actually be 'dry' now.

current plans:

bolt it all together again.
get new crank sensor and bracket made up.
get new tensioner and bracket sorted.
find someone to set it up and programme the ecu and basically make it work.
buy a bunch of shiny bits from specialist components to improve coolant management.
think about whether the belt really is too thin, and maybe do something about it.
start prepping the body for paint.

its gonna pick up speed again and hopefully make it out of the garage soon.................................
