this was the day we picked it up - uts clearly mapped well and running pretty good - We have the ecu given to us but something has gone seriously wrong somewhere - I'm sure the boys will find it pretty quickly and hopefully she'll be growling properly very soon.

I dont like the backlash on that timing belt, look at it, its bouncing all over the place! Make sure you double check the tension of that wont you

I had a conversation, well, it was actualy a debate about this with Simon, quite some time ago, but, because im no 'expert' my concernes were un justified ;D/

Doubtt the coil pack will make that much of a difference. You do have the firing order correct?

The last poor running K engine i looked at turned out to be cam timing.

Oo that don't sound too good. Im the expert and poor runnning engines! Lol

Firing order is 1243 on a K head. ;D

the bit thats driving us barmy is what order are the connections on the actual coil pack?

we have 2 coil packs - both xe, but one bosch and one unknown

the bosch one is numbered, but if you follow the numbers no joy.

the unknown is not numbered in any way, but if you guess at the order we eventually get it running, but like a bag of cack ?

just doesnt make sense ?

if anyone knows the pin-out sequence on a xe coil pack please help !!!!!!

Ok then had a word with a Vauxhaul savvy mate.

There are 2 types of XE coil pack amplified and non amplified, your ecu may need to be reset to allow it to talk to which ever type you have.

He also reckons the pin out diagram should be on the sbd website

hope this helps
