Thanks chaps!

Engine, anything over 85 will do me nicely.

Recaros are out of a series 2 escort RS turbo.

Hi

love the car, looks fantastic, love the colour.

I have a mini in a similar state to yours when you brought it, same area of damage, door bent etc.

I was thinking of restoring it but the roof has been bent on the drivers side, it has also split along the sills just behind the a-panel. I don't want to scrap the shell if the damaged can be undone easily, but I fear the body may be twisted and therefore useless. would I have to make a jig?

If you could give me any advice, that would be very helpful.
Thanks

You would deffinatly need a jig, any damage done to structual areas will always need jig work. If the roof is creased then I would be warey of putting it back on the road, to crease the roof takes quite a bit of impact force and its more than likely twisted the shell too much to be salvageable. The jig is needed for datum points, its to show you how much the car is out of line and what areas need attention, also it clamps the car down to a solid object so the damage can be pushed/pulled out.

Just had the car tuned on the rollers. On its final run it pulled 110bhp - 97 lb/ft of torque @ 6400rpm!! (Flywheel power of course) but that cant be to far off 90' odd bhp @ the wheels?

Well chuffed ;)

Yes very :D. Im quite shocked with the figures to be honest. Other 1310/1330's with simular spec seem to pull upper 80's low 90 hp. I think its the head thats doing the job. So addictive to drive.

Very nice car, love that shot from above, good spec on the engine would think you'll see around 90 bhp when ran in and dyno'd.
Good work.

Not a bad guess, but great figures, love this car, you doing any shows?
