its on stilts this is really nice dont put arches on it, it would look great archless

bit high at the moment as engine and other stuffs got to go in.

Putting some W&P'S on, dont think it would go down well with the MOT man when I put 6x12's on with no arches .

Finished the interior, just the rest of the glass to go in, then put the doors and boot lid on (waiting for gaydon to get some stuff), lights in, then the engines got to be dropped in. Got the engine out last night to have a look at it, still turns over, going to whip the head off and de-coke it and also take the clutch off just to have a look to see if its ok.

Been cutting back the doors this afternoon, I love this colour, shines really nice!!!

Hopefully more progress to be done over the weekend.

Well theres been a lot more progress since my last update, doors are now on with new handles and fully built up just missing the door cards and the window strips but will fit them later on, open rear quarter-lights are now in.

Fetched the cylinder head off the engine and re-lapped the valves and polished them , just got to de-coke the pistons, painted the engine (not finished yet). The fuel tank had to come back out because it had gone rusty inside but will be fitting that back in tomorrow and will fit the bootlid.

Not much left to do now, reckon it will be done for MITP.

Right... what ive done the past couple of days... well.

Got the flywheel off, which was suprisingly really easy, got the puller on it, put some tension on, couple of blows with the hammer and it came off. So... chuffed with that result.



Inspected the clutch, nothing to be done as its in immaculate condition.



All back on, and 150 Nm later .



Back to the car, got one headlight in, need to touch up the otherside paint wise so the other headlight will go in later on.



And the boots now on.



Tomorrow, hopefully I'll put the head back on, partly build the engine back up, then its ready to be dropped in and connected.

Rest of the car looking at it only needs:

Front windscreen, fog light, bumpers, rest of the lights putting in, arches, grille and probably some last little bits and bobs just to finish it off for the road .

Finally got the engine in today which is a massive step foward, just got to connect everything up now, should, possibly be running this time next week but Ive got to refurb the hubs and driveshafts yet.

Ready to go in.

its great when it all comes together

Major progress over the past week, finished the final bits and peices to get the engine running today, then connected up a make shift tank (petrol can), and a fully charged battery, turned the key, and then after fiddling with the timing a bit, she fired!!!!!!. Got to drain the oil again tomorrow and put some good stuff in now (just used some cheapy oil to flush the engine), then have another play with the timing, probably get some pics up tomorrow.
