Yeh probably be back on the road in a month or so...., sorry but I didn't get any recent pics today, too busy giving it a service and bleeding the clutch, seized clutch arm , all sorted now though.

Thanks for the replies guys.

Paul.

Its running sweet as a nut more or less, just got a bit of overflow coming from the carb so will sort that out and a coolant leak which has fixed itself coming from the stat housing, but its running really well, really pleased. Think it just needs a slight fiddle on the mixture and it will be spot on O_O.

Pics as promised.

Not looking too good at the moment though, flatted back some panels (well most of them) so I can do a bit of touching up :).

It looks better than a new car! British Leyland never gave it that much care and attention :).

Loving the project Pauly, keep up the good work.

Bit of an update.

Its nearly there!!! Just got to fit bumpers, windscreen, bonnet, and fog light, also some other little trim bits.

Also painted the arches so those are ready to fit.

Someone likes blue!

Just flicked through this thread and it just looks so good, the car is practically brand new, and it looks you didnt go too overboard on spendings by refurbing everything!

Very impressed and love the outcome!

How much does it stand you at?

Thanks guys.

Cost wise? over 4 years I dont really know, but in restos I dont get buying brand new things when the original stuff is in perfect working order and all its needs is cleaning up, saves you loads of ££££ in the long run, you still have the original part which looks brand new, and you have more money to spend on mods.

I wanted to rebuild it to almost standard condition, get it on the road, then start modding it, so it will never be finished really :D.

Paul.
