Why not tax it online, you should be able to do it today, and get the tax mid-week.

For some weird reason you cant tax online until 15th of each month.

Well got it taxed yesterday! >_<. But the weather was pretty poor so took it out today, drove sweet as a nut, faultless .

......

Well... nearly :D.

The only thing i can think what happened was I left the handbrake on a notch.

Was driving down the bridgenorth road with my dad in passenger seat and asked him if he wanted a go, so we pulled over by the boycott arms (the slip road bit with like a layby in between, locals will know where i mean) to swap, got out and there was a load of smoke coming from the wheel. The drum was boiling hot!! and burnt my lovley painted drum, bummer >_<. So got home whipped the drum off, found nothing wrong, hence why I think the handbrake. Put it all back together, gave the drum a coat of paint, give it another one tomorrow night, then put wheels back on ready for the meet wednesday :D.

Piccies >_<

Me Paintttttttt >_<.

Back to how it was >_<.

But I cant complain, everything else is working great and the car drives fantastic >_<.

Congrats on getting it taxed. Hopefully it was only the handle up a notch and not something more serious.

I painted my drums in engine laquer and it all bubbled up after about 1 month of driving. I probably did excactly the same thing as you and didn't realise. Well done on your car it looks ace. Looking forward to seeing what mods youve got planned for it.

Changed the thread title, thanks Purple Tom :P

Dont class it as a project car as such now as its now on the road, but its still like an on going project ;D.

Ordered my new wheels today :). Not going to say what they are until ive fitted them, but lets just say I had a change of heart at the final hour. So they should be coming tuesday, then next weekend is going to be hecktic, going to min-its to get my stage 1 kit, then back home to fit my wheels and start fitting the stage 1. Proberly wont get it all done in 2 days but will be done for mini fair :).

Oh yes, and the brakes are 100% fine now, still had problems with them getting warm but it was because the shoes where uneven, bedded in now and are fine.

Paul. (Next update will see a radical change :))
