cut and shaped a patch for the inner wing, welded it in, ground down the welds and just smoothed it over with filler.
Its great to actually see things moving forward when you can step back and say "Done that - tick it off the list!"

Screamed abuse at it for running on 3 most of the day and then fell in love with it again when it picked up the 4th and was great fun on little twisty roads.

'fitted' new carpets. Very badly.
I shouldn't be allowed near a knife of any kind.

Today I patched the inner wing under where the bracket for the suspension strut goes. On the surface it was the smallest of holes in the paint and showed no rust whatsoever. I wondered why a hole might be there so an exploratory dig revealed a patch of rust I had to cut out about 3 inches by 4, right where the crossmember is joined to the inner wing.
With that welded in and ground down, I then put filler to smooth it off, etch primer, undercoat and then Chilli Red top coat
After that, I rubberised the rear subframe ready to go back in (hopefully soon).
Another step closer.

Attempted to get her onto ramps to sort out why I cant get 4th, which due to it being so low I had to singlehanded push onto some bits of wood to even get the jack underneath and then ran out of lift to get the ramps under so had to lift the jack with some more wood, what a faff!
But I have found the problem so all good, closer to back on the road after far to many years!!!
