Fitted a Stage One kit and took it out for little drive. Big improvement but got the wrong air filter at Brooklands yesterday
ay so having to run it with the standard one, feels a little held back so going to have a look for a 1.5 inch k&n or similar. If anyone wants a 1.75 inch cone filter...

Took off the lcb for a check....the noise made me suspect it was cracked...
Yup...a nasty repair and plenty of new cracks.. I need the car wednesday so there isnt really time to order a new one and wait for delivery, so i had to fire up the welder and grinder
ground off the old welds to get a proper look at the cracks.. then drill a hole at hte end off each one to stop it spreading as its welded
welded it all up and added gussets over the joins to add strength
Just got to stick it back together tomorrow... fingers crossed for decent weather

Finished rubberising the rear subframe and the two front suspension struts. Then thought I would clean up the boot ready to just 'tidy it up'. De-greased it and could see daylight through holes in the boot floor. More bl***y rust!!! Now I have to replace part of the boot floor so I am going to do the battery box as well.
