Bought yet another 20 seam strip clips as I lost the last pack. Fitted the seam strips.
Then I fitted new tear drop mounts. The old ones both came out as two separate bits so it was definitely due. It's a lot more solid and responsive now - lets just say that everything that was once in my dash tray is now on the floor.

Okay it was yesterday and not technically today - I continued to remove all the bits and bobs in the engine bay. Started to remove a very tired wiring loom.
Today I will be sourcing some wheels so I can make a dolly to put the shell on, then remove subframes, clean and paint them, send body away, make a start on engine, look for an interior, reassemble everything, tax and insure car and have a nice day out driving.
Am I being a tad optimistic for one day?

Went into the barn, poked a bit at the rust... thought i could cut the outer sills off to see state of inside, and then closed barn door.

removed all the old protection from the heelboard, treated it for rust, etch primed and stonechipped it. Tidied up welds at base of rear seat and cut two long strips to weld in place (prepped the strips and etch primed them ready for tomorrow). Also rubberised the mounts for the rear subframe to try and add some protection.
