Took it down to my mates dads garage to get tuned up this week. Finished the small list of jobs left to do before i can take it for a road worthiness test.

Set the timing, took it round the block and parked it up and stared at it.

Cleaned float bowl set idle speeds and replaced float bowl gaskets

Adjusted my drums again. Feels more like a brake pedal now.

Began taking apart a 1275 engine I have. Looks immaculate so far.

 

Took a quick look at the rear subframe on Ron. Wow is all I can say. Freed off two of the heel board bolts, but will get a bit of heat on the others as I really don't want to shear them off.

I attempted to fix my clutch. New hose fitted but still she leaks!!! So new slave cylinder on order, and I discoverd my door has cracked so pricing up new doors. Really not my day!!

I drove  to a local steam rally, got there and drove straight back home. Bit to wet and muddy for our liking. Would have needed to be towed in and out

Fitted some shiny door handles.

Cut off even more rust will it ever end, by the looks of it no   got 2 pieces welded back on, just making some more panels now to fit in

Realised I need a lot of things to get the engine in and running....

Fuel tank strap, window motor strap and components/ linkages etc, engine spacer mount passenger side, exhaust manifold, inlet manifold. Clutch pedal and engine bay components for clutch setup

Finally got it running after finding one of the coil wire crimps snapped off  .  Stickers off tomorrow.

Spent a bit of time cleaning up subframes. Found some stickers from our Euro travels, that I'd forgotten about. Stuck them on petrol tank..

I've welded in a a few patches to the back seat upright and welded in both companion bins. Tidied it all up and etch primed it.Started cleaning and painting bits to rebuild subframe and get hubs on.
