[Mini Manannán]

Fitted my new driver's side rear door: 

 

 

 

It's a good fit.  phew!!!  

 

 

For £400 it should do too!

Nothing to the mini,as it's gone to be painted. Just resprayed some of the ancillaries.

Nothing... but I wish I did. I feel guilty for not giving it as much attention as I used to. Downside of not being able to drive yet, once most big things are fixed only little bits (like paint work) are left... and paintwork is kinda difficult on a driveway with cars/caravan around. Don't think Dad would appreciate the caravan getting a new paint job

I was looking for a quick job for me to do as I wanted to at least do something with it today and so I refitted my front grill but with a new pair of grill buttons,

Much better and much more stable than I expected it to be

I took my split rims off yesterday so I can still use the car while I wait for the arches to come. Was in 2 minds whether to keep them flame red like the car or spray them white. After getting my mate to do a quick photoshop it was a no brainer.

Yesterday and today this happened.....


Only got the 1 done and built up. Will hopefully have time tomorrow to at least spray the other rims, then build up at the weekend.

Oh and bought it a new carpet set

Still juggling the rear doors for the best gaps.  Rear subframe came off for tidying.

disconnected all the bits off the auto engine will get the rest out Friday

Well, over the last week or so I've been tiding up my boot. It was a real mess and I knew it was time to sort it out. I even made a pair of boot base covers for it and installed a pair on LED strip lights. What do you think???

Got suspension and brake upgrade complete, taxed, insured and back on the road.

swore at it profusely, cried a little. contemplated petrol and a match or calling a scrappy.

Got all four wheels on today and pushed the car about 8 feet - it may not be much but its the furthest its moved in 3 years!

dispensed with all the crappy self tappers holding the door furniture on. Tapped them all out metric and re-fitted using socket drive stainless screws.

took a rotary wire brush to the drivers side sill area (its in surprising good order!) then while I had my drill out.........

cleaned off the lacquer from all the alloys (13" superlight) where its been tracking underneath, and cleaned the up to satin ally finish.

Now-do I polish to super shiny or leave as satin? and do I colour-code the middles BRG)or leave as silver?

What size splits are they? Don't know what size to get mine done but your's look the danglies!
