Just stripped the dash out and fitted  set of Stickyfingers magnolia dials. Very happy.

Earlier today I cut back the paint on the bonnet and polished it, not too bad but I will repaint it at some point when we get some warm weather. and bought another sticker for the rear window! Car looks sh**e with steels and trims on it! Can't wait for the 7.5 inch discs so I can fit my new wheels!

Needs a mk1 grille now though!

I expected the decal to be reverse cut and stuck inside but it wasn't then it stuck when I was lining it up and I couldn't adjust it so it's on the wonk!

Found a water leak, fixed my arch extension, fitted my side trim and made her sit and purr for 10/15 minutes (for her then to bloody hiss at me to say she was dripping coolant on the drive!)

'Adjusted' one of my front drum backplates to stop it from scraping.

Fitted a spare gear linkage plate to the orange one, as somehow the reverse gate had been snapped off. Finished building up the rear subframe for it.

Final coat of PU varnish applied to the steering wheel and built back up, and clocks back in the car and a steering drop bracket fitted. What a nice place to be sat!

How much better are the ripspeed ones? Is there actually anything wrong with using the cheaper 'hilos'? I know you get what you pay for in terms of quality etc, but do they do something the cheaper ones dont?

Don't think so, however I purchased a full set of Ripspeed ones off here and when I jacked the car up I found a full set of cheaper ones fitted!! :D

After having to drive home with no lights on last night, I've gone and taken out the old dynamo which has finally given in, and fitted an alternator from my dad's old MGB. Just have to finish doing the wiring to bypass the old control box, and hopefully I'll be able to enjoy wipers, a radio AND lights all at the same time! :D

Fitted new rad, then cleaned up the engine bay a bit and the underside of the bonnet. Tomorrow I'm going to do more cleaning on the engine bay, then wash all the inner arches and underneath as it is caked in mud from watching my mate karting practice on Wednesday and having to park in a wet field.

I... hmm... went to fit my "repaired" front arch. It broke.

I polished up my ignition coil a bit (not perfect mirror, still got some deeper scratches but alot better than the manky corroded black painted rubbish it looked like before). And I also put a couple of gauges back together.

Decided to buy some new arches rather than bodge. Get it done properly as she deserves some tlc.

Replaced oil transfer pipe with a nice braided one (with no leak). Added a smiths Oil Pressure guage and grille buttons.

Started working out the amperage for each fuse I need... and found my oil has more water in than I thought. Good job I have a head gasket here!
