Removed the rad to flush, and reprint the fan cowling,replace hoses and thermostat while I'm at it. New washer jets and choke cable fitted, and ordered rear seat belts!

Washed off all the mud from going to the torbay steam rally this weekend, then found out where the water was coming in

Refitted crank and pistons/rods with new mains and big ends, new cam, new oil pump and played with a dial gauge (yawn!).

Removal of the rad and hoses was fine but fitting the little bypass hose was erm challenging! And now I have found that the concertina type I have used have a poor reputation for not lasting. I would imagine that it would be much easier to do if the water pump was removed which I didn't do and probably essential to do so if using a normal non concertina type hose. Hope that makes sense

Removed the tatty old 'sound deadening' foam from the bulkhead and started the big engine bay cleanup.

stripped rear subframe sent it off for blasting collect it tomorrow stripped the radius arms for a rebuild
