Pulled out the broken speedo cable (only took 3 hours to figure out how to get the &*%# thing off!!!)
Gotta be one of the worst jobs to do! Any knuckles left?
Yup, got a couple missing skin, all is fair in "love of mini"

Sorry it was yesterday, but hey!
Went to MLMotorsport in Kent and spent time with AC Dodd, tuning my tired 998.
After traveling through Belgium, France & then over the channel on the ferry to England, I can say that it was time & money well spent!!
The journey back was so nice - the car 'purred' all the way home.
Cheers to Andrew & Adrian (MLMotorsport & AC Dodd)

Fettled the front of my wing and front panel so my tyres don't rub anymore (hopefully)

Rained off at work so replaced a tired front wheel bearing on my mk1. Still gotta do one track rod end and engine steady bushes when the bits arrive. 1800 miles round Europe rather took it out of the old girl!

Span the wheels for the first time... roads were a little wet and I forgot about that monster 1.3i engine under my bonnet

Put my blanking sleeve back in after trying an 88deg stat and it constantly ran hot. Seems better now with the sleeve back in.

Today i spent an hour getting to know the new project mini i obtained a week ago.....nearly ran myself down with the bugger pulling it out the garage, forgettin it weighs a hundredweight! Anyway gave it a quick internal diagnostic then pushed it back in and smacked it off the stuff at the back of the garage.

Picked away at some flaking spots. Come to find out it wasn't actually rusted through! Just been detailed with too much filler and its shrunk and cracked. Ground them down to shiny metal and rattle canned them for now.
Brave very brave, one does not poke his rusty spot with a screw driver unless he wants major rebuild!
