Picked it up after having a new front end, sills, door steps and floor repairs and having the new cones put in.

Worked out what bits I need for my exhaust to stop it from blowing. And I sprayed some undercoat/underseal on the floors as it was starting to look a bit bare

Carried on rebuilding engine with my 13 year old daughter I do all the messy stripping down and cleaning up and she bolts on all the new clean bits
She seems keen and loves using socket set especially toque wrench not so keen on getting her fingers oily though and gets through latex gloves like no ones business


Today we bolted up crank and con rods after fitting new shells
Put timing gears back on and bolted up cover
Refitted water pump and fan
Refitted oil filter bracket and banjo
Refitted fuel pump

Bled my clutch since it was tough getting into first and sometimes a little crunchy into reverse. Clutch was biting pretty much on the floor and now it's about 2/3 the way up from the floor now. Feels so much better!

Nothing too exciting, replaced the mota-lita steering wheel with the original bus wheel and removed the Paddy Hopkirk pedal.  I'm in an factory original mood this week.

Pah! My 7yr old daughter helped me rebuild an HS4.
(Maybe that's why I have a problem with it? Hmmm ... Note to self.)

Swapped my rod change seal and fixed a leaky oil filter mounting, put some new millers in and got my clonk back.. Grrrr

Cleaned it all over and took it out for its last drive of the year

Just finished building the new straight cut gear box and 4 pin diff. Ready to fit with a steel flywheel over the winter

Took my mini for a thrash up the Kaimai Ranges, man in his (modern) car was left wanting bahahahaha, not for a lack of trying!
