Drivers door window was sticking/jamming, one of the runners was goosed, so today went from this ..
To this..
Realise now that both doors also need new inner & outer wipers.
During the week repaired drivers door frame & the bottom of the door skin, went well, all welded, folded over, zinc primer applied before & after & fully sealed inside seams with seam sealer today while window winder was off, new drain holes drilled.
Also fitted stainless bumpers front & rear today.
Couple of weekends back fitted extra dials with the car under sheet & snow coming down outside.
Tomorrow weather permitting I'm hoping to fit front wheel arch liners that I bought during the week & if there is enough room I want to fit an "Ahooogah" horn & something else behind the liners.
Would like to get it in for an MOT next week but will need a fair wind to be ready in time.

Got the alloy locking nuts off - without key (didnt come with the car), this enabled me to free off the back drums which had seized, which then allowed me to get her up on the ramps and get the old exhaust off - which was the intended job of the afternoon. Oh and old exhaust will be up for sale - its way to big and loud for me :)

Fitted coil springs along with new knuckles and hi-lo's :)
Went to undo the rear trailing arm plates to fit the adjustable negative camber brackets, 2 bolts undid without problem, 2 bolts put up a fight and sheared off....!!!
So now I have to remove the rear trailing arms on both sides and drill and tap the bolts that sheared off. What was supposed to be a couple of hours work has turned into a ruddy nightmare...
I also think Iv fitted the front suspension wrongly too.....

Refitted front suspension - New doughnuts, knuckle joints, bumpstops, rebuilt top arms and cleaned up hi-lo's. Ordered a tap and die set as thermostat housing stud has potentially stripped one of the threads.. It never ends!! MOT in a fortnight and the car is booked to do a sprint in April so it needs to be sorted ASAP!

Fitted the front brake pipes around the subframe but couldn't find the bolts, there's washers missing and all sorts.
Small order to Minispares completed

Nylon cup on the knuckle joint, such a wonderful invention.
So only have to set my desired height, then it's the fronts turn, also fitting the on car adjusted bottom arms etc...will be fun I'm sure.
Paper and pen at the ready for all the bits I'm sure to need once the worm can is opened.

The front subframe has to go. I have no idea how it got into the state it's in but it's twisted. I got a tech drawing of the frame and note that the biggest tolerance quoted is 1/16". I've measured a twist that is over 30mm.
