Some winter maintenance inspired by Tcs on his mpi and a job I've been meaning to do. Old oil drained, new mpi oil filter fitted, 5L Millers Ctv oil applied, and new sump plug/washer fitted. Will be off the road for winter as per, although I hope to take it for a spin before October ends - if a sunny, dry day appears! Not taken my mini out of the garage for a good run since the Stanford show.

Replaced the old and fitted the new roof gutter trim. Bloody ballache on the front edges, but got there in the end with some persuasion and adjusting. Gave it a good run after the oil and filter change I did the other week, after waiting for the sun to show!

Took the engine and all the LHD M/C's out today, unbelievably not a single seized nut or bolt, the God's are smiling on me.

I saw this on FB, its mighty impressive but how does the turbo fit in the engine bay, it may be the angle of the photo but it looks like it'll be through the screen?

It does look like that from the angle. Works out about an inch above the top of the rocker cover. It was built up in Ben's mini front end in his workshop so should be fine🤞

Bagsport. He has just started doing 3d printed ones. They look very good. I missed them by 3 months😥

Purchased some secondhand front seats, intention is to refurbish them and put them in the car for regular use and refit the original ones when attending shows.

Photos of the refurbished seats to follow.

this one from ben off youtube?   :-)

Decided it was just a Mini and not a F1 car so set up the tracking using 2 bits of wood and a tape measure. Good old fashioned engineering .

For all the non-believers!
