ah! Does look like smudgers ones, matter of fact if he is only round the corner why dont you have rhis beast kitted with smidgers parts from top to bottom? because lets be honest you cant get muchbetter than his stuff eh?

But anyway this is a VERY nice car bud and i am sure you dont need to be told! ha ha.

I would very much like mine to turb out some thing like this.

when do you hope to have this on the road by ?

i have one of those special cameras, that blur the image and always make it look clean! when-ever i'm not working on it its covered in a home made cover of fabric, and 2 tarpulins or however you spell it. if the whole back box was around 4" in diameter it wouldn't look too bad. but hey i've made up my mind, so a 2" side exit it will be.

i could get all smudger bits on it, but its not the look i'm going for. i heading towards a not in your face street racer style with plently of carbon. you know loud but yet subtle. on the road for summer time. have qutie a few more bits to get, including sorting an alarm, all before it hits the road, but roughly i reckon around july-august possibly september.

well the good things always cost more!

so today, took it to work. on works trade plates of course. heres a short story.

turned her over with a bit of choke, she started with a bit of smoke. burbling just below 2k.

reversed out the drive onto the road. adrenalin starts pumping, the feeling of a mini on the road again!

slowly took her to the end of the street. brakes work, phew! start accelerating down the road. feathering the throttle.

fighting the steering wheel, as the tracking is way oot!

stop at the lights, indicator on. a few people look, wonder how a 6ft 3 monkey is sitting comfortably in a mini!

driving along, put her in second take it up to 3.5k wooosh, pisst, chatter? eh?

into work over the speed bump scraping the exhaust on the way. into the workshop which she shall stay until tomorrow morning when she shall travel to thy body shop.

well it was fun! got some weird noises coming from the turbo, probably a hose off or something. also the fan is catching on the surround which doesn't help! i was loving the sound of the turbo spooling up, so tempting to rev higher but i want to take it easy for a few hundred mile before i do any serious driving. I'm going to get the tracking sorted tomorrow, before i take her to be fixed, and will probably sort out the fueling, as she runs but could do with a tune. it was great seeing people look at the car, but i can't imagine what must be going through their minds when they see the exhaust!

i really want to be driving this now, but i can just about wait a few months till she is ready for the road.

will get some pics up tomorrow.

so,
sorted the tracking out, it was way oot! try about 15degrees out! and also did have a pop at the emissions, but thought bugger it its getting a new exhaust anyway. it also seem i have quite abit of camber on the front wheels, even though my adjustable bottom arms are wound all the way in! must be set up for extreme cornering!
