been doing some modifying on the cheap this weekend. still waiting for my alarm to arrive, so i went up the road and bought some leather like fabric for £5. some cutting and sowing later, and i have a nice gear and handbrake gaitor for alot less than what it costs in the shops!

i have security! installed a clifford g5 arrow 5.1 alarm to my car over the past 2 days.

now because i have installed it myself it isn't thatcham approved, but i only bought it for my own piece of mind. when this is finally on the road (after i've decieded to pay for the huge insurance premium) i do plan on fitting a central locking kit to it, and i can just wire that into the alarm aswell.

what i got

don't worry it all neatly cleaned up, and tucked away in the dash.

more random images, due to changing the seal on the master cylinder, i needed to bleed the brakes, again! also tried some bpr7es plugs in as its what everyone reccomends, and it actually runs worse on them! so i poped back the b8es in.

spent most of the weekend on my mate ps3 so only did a small bit of work. rebuilt the carb, thruned over the car and already it sounds better than before. also decided to sort out the resistive wire that used to run on the 998. opened up the loom and traced the wire up to the fuse box. replace it with some approiate wire, which should now let my ignition see 12v!

a wee pic

some new harnesses and a steering wheel has turned up at my house. passenger seat should be here next week. but for now this weekends work, put in one harness. also managed to link my new steeing wheel and boss to the center doobrie, which auto cancels the indicators.

cracked on with sorting out the carb on my engine, was running back on the b8es, trying to get a smoth idle on it. the only problem was in order to do this it had to be over fueling quite abit to hold idle! threw some bpr7es in, got it up to temperature. threw the colour tune into cylinder 1, and managed to get a nice blue light at around 1100. so i'm getting a decent burn on idle now! managed to take a small vid, and though i do get a few funny sounds from the exhaust it does run smoothly-ish

i still had to sort and tidy some of the wiring on the inside of the car, this weekend. while i was there i was thinking of the lack of immediate storage space. some quick thinking and i managed to use something i would have scrapped. the old radio housing that was used to mount the radio under the dash, has now been turned into a convient moblie, cd or wallet holder.
