Thanks for the kind words!

Quick update, took delivery of a new genuine heritige subframe, went for the stregthened type to deal will the strain from the possibility of 13x8's

Also started looking at the stance I want, looks like the front will be able to be touching the arch without rubbing on the wing. nice!

Looking really nice.

How is the rear subframe strengthend? Looks like some more seam welding and bracing.

I'll get some pictures up tomorrow, but iirc there's basically some extra metal plates welded near where the cone sits and the pivot of the radius arm

Ah nice.

Just asking because I've strengthened mine too. Just interested in seeing how they do it!

Looks good mate, just worth considering that you've left enough room for the wheel to travel when going over a speed bump or hard conering on a bumpy road

Looking Great  , I have a one finger gap inbetween my tyres and arches, and it's a nightmare over potholes and speedbumps

I've been planning on a one finger gap, what dampers have you got and exactly how much does it rub?

Oh it will be rubbing and scraping its way over speedbumps, all part of the fun ;)

Im running standard height spax shocks, they don't bottom out luckily, catches slightly on my arches and rub on the wings on full lock, and I avoid all potholes, I went through one doing 60 before christmas and pulled the arch off

I can put a pic up if you want? After my resto I intended on being slightly lower than standard, not this low haha =]

Well it looks good anyway I was just thinking that you have went to all the effort in the paint and would be a shame to see you arched get damaged.

I'm running spax coilovers and sitting so that you can get two fingers between the arch and tyre, I thought I'd left enough clearance but seems not tyre rubs on bumpy roads on speed bumps and on full lock On uneven ground I just keep checking it touching it up and treating it.

Yeah man cheers for the heads up, might have to keep my touch up brush in the glovebox ;)

Are they adjustable stiffness or fixed? Because I've got adjustable Gaz's and was thinking if I maybe ran the suspension a little stiffer than recommended it may prevent rubbing so I could run a little lower, then keep making it stiffer and lower until just before it begins to get unbearable? In theory it makes sense, but I'm sure I'll get bored of a mangled spine before too long...
