Early 1.3's can be had without NATS. Also Fusion motorsport can remove NATS from the later ECU.

An early none NATS ECU is not a simple plug and play to a later wiring loom either.

Odd, I was told they dont exist! Might have to ask fusion nicely then :)

Waahooo!! practically turned the mini into a hotbox earlier with spray paint fumes.. Remember ventilation is key to not killing yourself when spraying parts / cars.

It may seem funny at first with a light head but the banging headache after is a killer :(

Have you tried asking on ovalchat for a pre pats ecu? If not someone will be able to guide you on the loom

No worries, I'm useless with electrics otherwise I'd suggest something.

Another big step ahead, welding is nearly done, almost got all the windows back in, soon to put the interior back in!

Now, I was looking for another loom as my current one is poo poo and was offered an SPI one at a price i cant turn down.. so i bought it. It has the fuel pump live running on it which can be spliced into my carb ignition wiring :)

So time to make a hash up of looms and wait for the right micra loom to turn up on ebay :)

Oh, the subframe is at the workshop now - Ive stripped the paint off around the top turrets and will seam weld the frame for strength.

We are also building a jig for it to sit on, then to buy an engine! yaayy!

I learnt to weld yesterday and gas is best! will never go back to no gas again!

Cool - have you managed to find a workshop to work in?  Would love to have a look - see how your project's progressing - especially the Micra engine conversion (you still going down this route?).  Welding's fun - really satisfying!

Go careful with the loom and associated tools.....  I've just severed a tendon in my thumb using a stanley knife "finishing off" my wiring loom.  Now got 8 weeks of therapy on it to get it working again after surgery (doh! *idiot*)
