Contrary to my previous post about rotating the crank sensor 45 degrees I would not advise this. Luckily I had already wired the OBD socket and the MIL light came on while running and the fault code stored was 19 Crank Angle Sensor (CAS) Incorrect RPM signal. I rotated the crank sensor back to the original position and the fault code cleared.

I've decided to go with a standard new MPI radiator as I couldn't find much else that would fit without cutting more of the body away and they were on offer at MiniSport only £65 inc. delivery

Next up was to plumb in the clutch. I've used a motorbike brake hose as they are nice, long and braided and it was only £13. It was a right pain to get a seal on the T piece though as it wasn't made for a banjo so there was not much of a flange so I had to file it a bit flatter. I would not recommend fitting the T piece like I did inside the yoke arm housing as it occured to me if the thread strips or I damage the T piece I need to take the box out to replace it! Not a good idea but it's all a learning exercise.

Fuel pump and pipes all finished now.

Interior back together. Looks very standard!

I've not driven it on the road yet so I don't know how far it will be out but I've not changed the speedo drive yet so it will be showing faster than actual speed.

Now it's getting near finished I've realised I've now created a right pain of a mini to work on, every inch of the engine bay is needed for something.

It's very nearly finished now. I've had a quick drive up and down the road and it all seems good. Just little jobs to finish now:

Set up steering geometry

Change fan switch for a 95/90 switch

Fit alternator

I made a new bracket for the header tank. It's a bit heavy duty but I figured 1 litre of water bouncing around needs a decent mounting. I've got to say it was a nightmare to make the right shape and angle.

Under the bonnet it's pretty much done. Just need to fit the alternator now.

Both fans work and run on separate relays and the inner wing fan does a really good job of getting heat out of the engine bay.
