Decent little project.
Any luck with rad hose? Seems to get harder and harder to take it off the wife's mini when I need to drain the rad. Would it be too patronising to suggest jacking the n/s front and getting at it from the access port? Usually manage to force hers off from there with a large screwdriver, being careful not to damage the hose, obviously.

Wow, just noticed the number plate on that, incredibly close to my previous Mini's, which was J166 PPJ! And mine was a City

Yup i think i am the 10th owner on mine.... not sure how its only got 55k on it.....

 

anyhooooo, so shes fully services now thanks to sussex road and race, Kevin gave her a clean bill of health bar a corroded break disc,

 

got an iso wire arriving tomorrow to fit a free stereo a mate bunged me..... and corrosion on the hazard relay to fix....

 

Also on better news, I haved booked it in to see someone to get the car resprayed and lacquered so that should be happening in the next few weeks. gotta drive it to the unit strip it down and leave it for a weekend to get painted   can't wait.... I know it doesnt look that bad but I notice driving around in a faded car lol

well got the stereo wired but ran out of time to get the hazards fixed

not too big a deal though.

 

also polished up the grill and fitted the chrome bonnet lip..... thinking i may need another grill and new surround though!!

Quick polish.... 2 hours outside and 1 hour inside......

 

also took a look at the original pioneer speakers and the right hand one disintegrated in my hand, so now i have a car mono until i get new speakers lol.

new speakers ordered, new hazard flasher ordered.. great l2b looking forward to going on more mini adventures.

managed to get hold of some gutter trim from nk trading and rear numberplate light housing off of The Otter, fitted the lump of chrome on my lunch break at work today and Jessie rewarded me with an amazing drive back from Crawley to Brighton.

fitted a new hazard relay............ didnt fix it, need to get a multimeter and check the fuse box to see if that is corroded inside, also think i have some mysterious earthing happening somewhere... and need to get engine mounts and engine steady bushes sorted as its judderring in drive with my foot on the brake sometimes.

Well busy weekend with brands hatch etc,

 

jobs to do: Fit engine steady bushes and fix window runner as not being able to open the drivers window is doing my head in!

 

First Friday we did a Prom run with the Mini Freakz and Brighton Mini Club.

Bushes Bushes Bushes to install this week.......

 

Wondering whether I have the balls to change my master cylinder base plate as well :-( I need to do front discs soon so maybe I'll replace it then.
