i had to do a whole floor for the same reasons, i couldn't and didn't want to fathom how my subframe was staying attached, thinking back now i wish i hadn't driven it so rough  :errr:

Not a lot this time, but it turned into all w/e.

Took out some of the bracing for the front of the shell so it would be a bit easier to finish off welding the floor.

Just grinding down all the plugwelds on the floor and priming them.

Also made a start in putting in the seat crossmember.

Not a lot done this w/e but a lot of time doing it.

First off made a bracket that goes from the tunnel to the seat and primed that along with priming the small piece of metal from the lower dash.

100_6417.jpg

Then made sure the companion bins were a snug fit. Marked the floors and drilled ready for plugwelding.

100_6407.jpg

100_6409.jpg

100_6414.jpg

100_6413.jpg

Then had a good hour in getting the lower dash to sit against the bulkhead and the flitch panels.

100_6411.jpg

100_6412.jpg

The dash was stripped back down and the holes were drilled in the flitch panels for the welds.

100_6415.jpg

As I'm re-using the original dash front that'll be stripped to make sure that there's no rust and zinc primered.

The seat cross member is to go in next then I can make a start on the boot floor.

A bit of an update for over the last 2 weeks.

Made a few more bits and pieces - two brackets for the handbrake.

100_6581.jpg

Wiring loom tags for the new boot floor.

loom%20brackets.jpg

Also seat to tunnel bracket.

seat%20bracket.jpg

And while I was at it I thought I would put an interior light on the drivers side so I made a bracket for the additional light.

interior%20light%20bracket.jpg

Not a lot but some pennys saved.

Done a bit more of the jigsaw just to make sure that everything fits.

100_6543.jpg

100_6545.jpg

A little more adjustment and prep for welding.

100_6548.jpg

100_6549.jpg

Stripped down the original dash rail and primered, ready for welding.

Last w/e a bit more welding done.

Only got the one companion bin done, but at least its progress.

Looking good. If I could go back to the start of doing mine I would have gotten a spit would of made everything easier. Looking forward to seeing this one finished

Some cracking work Ger!

I'm in the process of fitting a new arse to my 72 Clubman, it isn't half daunting cutting it off!
