Still trying to track down the source of my overheating and poor running once warm. Still fearing a head gasket (recently replaced but did not skim the surface). Got this oil leak in the back. I'm guessing its just the tappet cover? I had to pop it when doing the head and guessing I need some new gaskets now. If it was a head gasket would oil leak like this?

The oil fed to the head is at the rear on the fan side and is close to the edge so worth checking.Overheating could be retarded timing in some or all areas so worth checking.Steve..
