Still no joy with the Indicators :shifty: I'll check the reverse switch in a minute when someone else is in the house, hate going under cars with no one around if the worst happens. In the mean time....

Got the Grille and bumpers on, the grille was alot easier to fit then I thought, hate trying to get them to fit nicely but this one seemed to go on OK.

Raised the car a little as it was right on the bump stops, just going to get it tracked as best I can as its out by a long way, and carry on the hunt for this indicator gremlin.

Over and out!

Looks the dogs nads youth.

Your dad came upto the workshop today, he was on about. Think he left with aload of new connectors and electrical bits out our stores for your mini! Haha.

Slat grille like mine would have looked better though!

Flatting and buffing mine tonight. Oh joy.

Have you had the hazard switch out, apart and cleaned up inside?

Sometimes the copper/brassy connection bits inside the switch get abit damp and go green and dont work... Indicators run through flasher switch, as Im sure you know. Im pretty rubbish with electrics but what about earthing the indicator unit? Have you done that?

Wish I could help.

PS. Dont ring an auto-electrician to sort it out. Theyre all rubbish, bodge up your car, take your money and leave. Like they have done to my brother twice now.

Indicator unit should be grounded anyway as it will be the 3 pin type, but is worth a check.
Id still recommend giving all the relevant connectors a little sand/clean or at least try re-seating them.

They have all been cleaned ect, but it dosent matter now, there all working. They got an auto electrician onto it, took him about 20 minutes to do it aparently. Such as life.

Been through the MOT this morning, only failed on 2 points, Worn ball joint and a brake rubbing while going. Fine other then those 2!

Had a bit of a service whilst it was there, new points, dizzy cap, they could'nt get a condensor thou so thats on my job list to replace. They set the fueling up whilst it was there too, runs a whole lot better now, just drove it back from the MOT station and its actually preety mint to drive! goes round corners like its on tracks! Just need to replace the seats and belts then it'll be finished for now.

Cheers for the advice thou Ed4ran, and you too, Jack.

Just need to wait till the post office opens tomorow now then I can go and tax it :shifty: Can't wait, first things off to have it tracked thou.

Well done Tom, looks mint. You should get some pics of it on the road.

Think you should get some overriders and corner bars for it though :shifty:

I dunno where there from to be honest mate, they where on it when I brought it.

Drove it home from the MOT earlier, my god its a whole different ball game to the mpi, feels alot more responsive to the pedal. Makes a preety funky noise too, haha.

Got to fit my bucket seats tomorow with harnesses and strip it down, it's going to be so noisey inside haha.

Been on the road for 2 days now problem free! >_< *touch wood*

Fitted a Alpine CD/iPod head unit today and 2 10cm sony speakers in the dash, also fitted a CF 2 clock dashboard that I got with the car. Man it sounds so good for 2 small speakers. The head units amazing too! chargers the iPod whilst driving and you can browse the songs through the HU too, proper awsome.

Fitted my cobra monaco's too and harnesses an stripped the back end minus the sound proofing on the bench, will be doing that next weekend along with the floor! Going to dye my rail covers to black so it should look a little better.

I'll post new pictures tomorow!
